Our Endoscopy Procedures
An endoscopy is a procedure in which your doctor uses specialized instruments to view and operate on the internal organs without making large incisions. An endoscope is a flexible tube with an attached camera that allows the doctor to see. A screen attached to the equipment enables the doctor exactly what the endoscope sees. Most types of endoscopy require you to fast for 12 hours before the procedure. You may be given laxatives or enemas to use a night before the procedure if the large intestine is to be examined.
The endoscopic procedures currently available in this facility are:
- Upper GIT endoscopy
- Lower GIT endoscopy
- Therapeutic endoscopy
